Friends Loraine Skikunas and Julie Cowan will host a picnic fund-raiser later this month in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care and West Suffolk Hospital’s My Wish Charity.

The event, being held in Brandon Country Park’s orchard on July 25, will be packed with fun for all the family from face painting and a bubble machine to cake sales and a ‘guess the name of the teddy’ stall.

Loraine first starting supporting the hospice a couple of years ago when she took part in the charity’s annual moonlight walk Girls Night Out.

“I think the hospice is such an important charity,” she said. “We have probably all lost someone close to us so it is a way to say thank you.

“We have chosen to fund-raise for My WiSH as we have both experienced the wonderful care their neonatal ward gives,” said added.

All are invited to attend the event – just remember to bring blankets, chairs and food.
