A RENOWNED French artist will have his work exhibited in a Bury St Edmunds gallery and restaurant next week.
It is the first UK exhibition of work by expressionist painter Jean Claude Roy, who will attend the launch at the Edmund Gallery, on Angel Hill, on Friday (April 6) from 6-8pm.
On Sunday (April 8), about 20 paintings will move to restaurant Maison Bleue, in Churchgate Street, where diners who book a table for lunch can view the work and meet the artist.
The paintings, which will be for sale, will then move back to the gallery until April 19.
The artist mainly produces oil on canvas landscapes.
The event was organised by Kevin Youngman, who runs the Wildwood Gallery, and the restaurant.
To book a table for the Sunday, contact Maison Bleue on (01284) 760623.
