People living with sight loss in Thetford are set to benefit from a free course designed to boost their independence.

The Finding Your Feet course, run by charity Action for Blind People, will take place at Thetford Grammar School on March 24 and 25.

The group is inviting people living with sight loss, their friends and family to enrol on the two-day programme.

Aiming to increase confidence and independence, the course will provide advice, support and practical skills.

David Kidman, of Action of Blind People, said: “For someone with newly diagnosed sight loss, the future can seem very scary and daunting.

“But losing your sight doesn’t mean losing your independence.”

The course is available for anyone registered blind or partially sighted, or anyone experiencing significant sight loss.

To book a free place call 01603 455767 or email david.kidman@actionforblindpeople.org.uk.
