Four people have been arrested after a cannabis factory was found in premises in Stonham Aspal.

Police carried out a warrant at a business unit in Mickfield Road around 10am yesterday (Wednesday) and discovered more than 100 cannabis plants and hydroponic equipment at the premises.

Three people, a 77-year-old man from the Ipswich area, a 40-year-old man from Bramford and a 21-year-old woman from the Stowmarket area, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.

A 45-year-old man from Ipswich was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cannabis in connection with the find and all four were taken into custody at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where they were interviewed by officers.

The four have all now been bailed to return to police on October 1, pending further enquiries.
