A locum doctor accused of sexually assaulting a member of staff at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds has today been found not guilty by a jury.

Olanrewaju Oladipo was employed last year on a short-term contract at the hospital when a woman employee claimed rwo offences were committed.

Giving evidence to a jury at Ipswich Crown Court, the alleged victim claimed that Oladipo had held her breast while trying to kiss her neck while on another occasion he had rubbed her thigh while on a ward.

Oladipo, 35, of Greenwood Drive, Watford, had pleaded not guilty to two offences of sexually assaulting the woman on June 17 and June 20 last year.

Giving evidence, Oladipo said that as their friendship progressed the woman had become increasingly ‘playful’ and flirted with him. She had also given him details of when her husband would not be at home.

No inappropriate behaviour took place between himself and the woman, said Olapido who told the jury that he had been shocked by the increasingly

sexual tone of her attentions.
