Five people hurt in Wretham collision involving vintage Bentley

Five people have been hurt, one seriously, after a collision on the A1075 at Wretham, near Thetford.

The incident happened on Sunday shortly after midnight when a green 1931 Bentley travelling towards Thetford and a bronze Renault Scenic travelling towards Watton, along Thetford Road, were involved in a collision.

A passenger in the Bentley suffered serious head and face injuries and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Police say he has since been transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further treatment and remains in a serious condition.

The driver and another passenger sustained minor injuries and were also taken to the NNUH for treatment.

Two occupants of the Renault suffered minor injuries and were taken to the West Suffolk Hospital.

Norfolk Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning the driving manner of either vehicle prior to the collision.
