Five men charged after hare coursing incident in Ixworth

Five men have been charged in connection with a hare coursing incident in Ixworth earlier this year.

Officers were called just after 11am on October 5 to reports of people carrying out the illegal activity in the village.

Five men from the Ashford area of Kent have been charged with daytime trespass in pursuit of game following the incident.

They are Douglas Smith, 26, of Charing Heath, Sam Collins, 19, of Bethersden and John Adams, 21, Henry Stanford, 23, and Paul Bristow, 24, all of Great Chart.

They have been bailed to appear at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (December 30).
