First class delivery on cards for Feltwell
Feltwell post office is on the move next year and will be housed in a convenience store offering longer hours of operation.
The post office is moving to the One Stop store in the village, some 330m from its current location.
It will be a modern open-plan branch with Post Office services provided from a till at the counter, rather than the traditional screened counter.
Also on offer will be some banking services, Transcash, and parcel services.
Services will be provided throughout shop opening hours Monday to Sunday, 7am-9pm.
This is an extra 58 hours and 30 minutes a week of Post Office service including all-day Sunday and Wednesday and Saturday afternoons.
The branch will also be open at lunchtimes.
The current branch closes on Tuesday, March 1, with the new branch opening the following day at 1pm.
Public consultation about the switch raised concerns about parking and traffic congestion at the new location.
There was also concern about privacy within the open plan store.
Other feedback however was supportive of easier access and more spacious premises.
The Post Office said it thought that the arrangements for parking were very similar to the current arrangements.
