Fires involving bins and Barnham Cross Common in Thetford

Firefighters attended three incidents in Thetford this morning - two of which are being treated as suspicious.

At 1.01am a fire engine from Thetford attended a large bin fire, in Glebe Close. The crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire by 1.22am.

Then at 2.01am a fire engine from Thetford attended a bin fire, in Mallow Close. The crews used hand appliances to extinguish the fire by 2.17am.

Both bin fires are being treated as suspicious and the incidents have been referred to the police.

At 7.04am a fire engine from Thetford attended a fire in the open on Barnham Cross Common. The crews extinguished using hand appliances and the incident was dealt with by 7.40am.

It is not being treated as suspicious.
