Firefighters save mouse while tackling forest fire in Bury Road, Elveden




A mouse had a lucky escape this afternoon after firefighters saved it while battling a blaze in Elveden.

Three crews from Brandon, Thetford and Newmarket were called at 4.18pm to reports of a forest fire in Bury Road.

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said they found a 'large area well alight' and used four hose-reels to extinguish the flames.

He added that they saved a mouse from the fire, which was put out in just 30 minutes.
