Firefighters were called to Shimpling this afternoon to help free a horse that was stuck.
Crews from Bury St Edmunds and Long Melford responded to the call, which came in around 1.30pm.
When they arrived at Chadacre Hall, in Shimpling, they found a horse with two of its legs stuck through a cattle grid.
They tried to release the horse using hydraulic spreaders but further hydraulic equpmment was needed.
They prepared a horse strop to lift the animal and managed to get it free by around 2.15pm.
