Firefighters free child trapped in Bury St Edmunds

Firefighters rescued a child who was trapped in Bury St Edmunds last night.

A rescue vehicle from Bury was sent to Cranesbill Drive, on the Moreton Hall estate, at around 5.30pm following a call about a child’s head having got stuck in a metal frame.

The crew used bolt croppers to free the child and had left the scene by 5.50pm.
