Fire crews battle forest fire in Brandon




Firefighters have been battling a forest fire in Brandon this afternoon - the second blaze in just 24 hours.

Three crews from Brandon, Mildenhall and Newmarket were called to the scene at 4.22pm.

Hose reel jets and beaters were used to extinguish the flames, which covered an area of land measuring 100m by 100m.

It follows crews from Brandon, Thetford and Newmarket being called out to a forest fire in Elveden yesterday, where they saved a mouse.
