FIREFIGHTERS were called to Gressingham Foods in Redgrave this morning to rescue a woman who had her hand trapped in machinery.
The woman, believed to be 50-years-old, was freed by fire crews using holmatro cutting gear after they received a call at 8.27am.
One appliance from Diss and one from Eye attended the scene along with an ambulance, a rapid response car, and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
The woman’s injuries were treated at the scene before she was taken by land ambulance to West Suffolk Hospital.
Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Land and air ambulance crews worked closely with the fire service to treat, stabilise and free the woman’s hand from the machinery before she was taken by land ambulance to West Suffolk General Hospital for further care.”
