Large fire breaks out at Stowmarket factory




Fire crews were called to a factory this morning after a large blaze broke out.

A call was made at 6.23am this morning and 11 fire crews were sent to the Muntons Factory in Stowmarket.

A spokesman for the Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said that it involved a drying silo with 130 tonnes of grain.

The grain is said to be unaffected.

Fire crews are currently dampening and extinguishing the fire which is on a sixth floor silo.

No one is believed to be injured.
