Multiple crews were sent to tackle a fire at the British Sugar Factory in Bury St Edmunds yesterday.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a building fire at the Hollow Road factory shortly before 3pm.

Three crews from Bury were sent to the incident, which involved a carpentry workshop on site.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to bring the fire under control and had returned to their base by about 4.10pm.
