Bury St Edmunds Quakers are inviting members of the public to get to know them better.

The group will host an enquirers’ session at the Quaker Meeting House, in St John’s Street, from 12-1pm on Sunday (September 27).

Avril Dawson, spokeswoman for Bury Quakers, said: “The idea is to give those who would like to know more, those new to Quakerism, or those with queries and uncertainties an opportunity to hear a brief introduction to some key aspects and, more importantly, to ask questions and engage in discussion about Quaker worship, life and beliefs.”

“This will be a friendly, informal session - no evangelising or other pressure,” she added.
