Following its successful UK tour last year, Mansfield Park returnes to the Theatre Royal next month.

It is an elegant retelling of Jane Austen’s novel, adapted by Tim Luscombe and directed by the theatre’s former artistic director Colin Blumenau.

It follows Fanny Price who is uprooted from her humble family home and dropped into the bustling, aristocratic household of her uncle, Sir Thomas Bertram.

There she finds herself buffeted from one crisis to the next. Will she be able to marry her love Edmund Bertram or will she be forced to marry Henry Crawford for wealth alone.
