West Suffolk College hosts first Careers Strategy Partnership event helping form local careers advice

The first Careers Strategy Partnership has been held at West Suffolk College providing guidance on the best way forward for careers advice in the county.

Staff from 27 senior schools took part alongside the Careers and Enterprise Company and the Enterprise Advisor Network.

The event was designed to develop local solutions for the new national careers strategy.

Angela Smith, executive director Learner Partnerships at the college, said: “The event showed that we can all work together to deliver meaningful and outstanding employer connections, work experience, advice and guidance.”

Five sessions were held during the day: Employers in Education: Working Together, Identifying and Developing Character Strengths, Post 16 Education Reforms, Developing your careers strategy and West Suffolk College Outreach.
