More than £2,300 was raised for two charities at a fun day attended by more than 500 people.

Sharon Calton, who is running the London Marathon this Sunday, put on the event at Castle Capers in Timworth Green, near Ingham, with the help of the party company’s managing director Mike Cross.

Monies raised will go to Arthritis Care and Cancer Research, both causes 46-year-old Sharon, who lives in Timworth Green, is supporting during the marathon.

Rides, games and inflatables, as well as food stalls, were all available during the fun day, which took place on April 10.
