Have your say

WRITERS are being encouraged to pen a poem in the run up to the Bury St Edmunds Cancer Research UK Relay for Life.

Entries focusing on the theme of hope are sought for the third Poem for Life competition.

The winning poem will be read aloud during the relay’s opening ceremony and celebration of survivors at noon on Saturday, June 23, in Ickworth Park.

The poem will also appear in the Bury Free Press.

The contest is open across East Anglia to all ages and entries should last no longer than two minutes when read aloud.

They should be received by post on May 11 to Julie Grimsey, 12 Bernham Close, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP32 7DL.
