A group of Year 10 business studies students at Mildenhall Academy have raised more than £340 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The entrepreneurial pupils hosted a Christmas Fair in December aimed at year seven and eight students. The fair included a range of stalls including a bake sale, drinks stall and a FIFA Tournament stall.

They contacted suppliers, drew up a business plan and organised funding as part of their course work.

Students Melda Karatas and Shaelee Summerson said the experience had given the chance to work as a team and realise the requirements of setting up and running a business.
