A SOCIAL enterprise company is running two cafés at attractions at Nowton and West Stow.
Whitehouse Enterprises which offer work to people who are disadvantaged and have disabilities is running the cafés at Nowton Park and at West Stow Country Park having successfully tendered for the contracts.
Whitehouse Enterprise launched in 1980 and was originally established to provide supported employment but now works to help people into the mainstream employment market.
Both café contracts were awarded in February.
The Nowton Parkcafé is inside the £525,000 new visitor centre which opened at the end of February. The revamp included the café as well as upgraded changing rooms, public toilets and a new base for the ranger service.
Whitehouse runs a range of cafés in the county including Angles at West Stow and Café Libre at Bury St Edmunds Library.
