It was sausage dogs a plenty at Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds, yesterday when Emily Ford and her four legged friend, Agnes, hosted a West Suffolk Sausage Dog Saunter.

A total of 33 dachshunds, aged from 14 weeks to 14 years, took part in the event, including smooth hairs, long hairs, miniatures and standards.

“Everybody really enjoyed themselves,” said Emily, who rewarded each dog with a cocktail sausage treat.

“They were happy with the length of the walk and everybody was mingling - it was just a great day out.

“We even had one couple who just happened to be in the area staying with friends who told them about it - they were so chuffed,” added Emily.
