A brave 12-year-old girl volunteered to have her long locks chopped off for The Little Princess Trust.

Ella Johnson bravely volunteered to take part in the charity event on March 30, where seven inches of her brown hair was lopped off.

The event was arranged as part of hairdressing student Sarah Picken’s NVQ Level 3.

Sarah, 19, from Brandon, who has worked at Bliss hair Studios in Bury for the past three years, is sending the hair to The Little princess Trust, a charity set up to provide real hair wigs to children with cancer.

The hair studio has also put out collection boxes for donations.
