Electricity pole fire in Great Livermere

Firefighters put out a fire on an electricity pole in Great Livermere yesterday.

They were called to the scene in Troston Road shortly after 8.10pm and found a wooden electricity pole on fire, close to properties.

The electricity was isolated by an engineer and the crew from Bury St Edmunds used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, which was brought under control by about 9.15pm.
