PUPILS at Finborough School had a special visitor last week as part of a House of Lords initiative.

Baroness Scott of Needham Market gave a presentation to students at the school on Friday.

Rosalind Scott visited the independent school as part of the Peers in Schools programme. The Liberal Democrat peer spoke to children in Years 9, 10 and 11, as well as sixth form students. She informed pupils about the role of the House of Lords, took part in a question and answer session and enjoyed a tour of the school.

Sarah Bacon, from Finborough School, said: “Pupils and staff were surprised to learn of the important part played by experts in various policy areas who are appointed to the House of Lords.”
