A SCHOOL principal is expecting a rather chilly experience when he takes on the challenging North Pole Marathon on April 5.
James Sinclair, who runs Finborough School, is in training for the event which sees competitors running in temperatures of between -20C and -30C.
And the former professional rugby player is involving youngsters at the school in his training regime.
He said: “I have always wanted to do a marathon and also wanted to go to the North Pole and I also want to involve all the students at the school.”
Mr Sinclair aims to involve each child in running a mile in his training.
He is raising money for local projects run by the Wooden Spoon charity which helps disadvantaged children.
