SOUTH LEE Schoo,l in Bury St Edmunds, has celebrated it’s 50th anniversary with a big bash in a barn.
More than 450 students, parents and teachers attended the anniversary tea party at Suffolk Barn, in Hawstead, on Saturday.
The partygoers were entertained by live performances from school rock band Distraction, the school choir and even a group formed by the teachers.
Headteacher Derek Whipp said: “We were very lucky with the weather, the rain held off and we even had a bit of sunshine.
“It was extremely well attended and everyone had a great time.
“We even had the deputy head singing on stage at one point. It was a super afternoon, everyone has said how much they enjoyed it.”
