CHILDREN helped a Christmas bazaar raise about £400 when they produced and sold household mementos.

Pupils at Norton Primary School designed place mats incorporating photos of themselves for parents and relatives to purchase at the festive event.

Organised by the school’s parent teacher association, the fair included eco and cake stalls, Santa Claus, a raffle and choco-bowla.

Pupils also made children’s games to sell.

Funds raised will pay for a puppet theatre show at the school and other Christmas events.

Headteacher Stella Hart said: “They had a lovely time making the place mats and the bazaar was well attended with lots of parents and visitors.

“There was a real buzz in the air.”
