STAFF and children at a village preschool are celebrating after being rated outstanding in all areas by Ofsted inspectors.
The Little Teapots Preschool, in Chedburgh, is attended by 38 children and is managed by a voluntary committee and run by eight staff members.
Jenny Snape, lead practitioner at the preschool, said: “It’s just unbelievable.
“We have such a great team and they worked so hard to achieve this so we are just so proud.”
Inspectors were impressed with the available support in children’s welfare, learning and development.
The report said: “The staff know children’s individual needs exceptionally well and plan an exceptionally stimulating learning environment and wide range of experiences to support children’s ongoing learning.”
The preschool is commended for having ‘highly effective’ relationships with parents and for giving children access to healthy eating, play equipment and a vegetable garden. Children are also encouraged to take part in cooking, art, using a computer and learn about culture around the world.
