A GROUP of students had the chance to grill local employers and find out what to expect from the world of work at a question time event last week.
Last Thursday, sixth form students at Mildenhall College of Technology discussed issues and opportunities in the job market with employers.
Nicola Hood, assistant headteacher, said the students had picked up invaluable lessons from the forum.
“The event was very beneficial because it allowed students to find out first hand what employers expect from a new employee leaving education.”
Two students were able to secure work experience placements on the night with employers going away impressed by their range of interests and hobbies.
The school hopes to hold a similar event in the future.
