Homework Hub gives young a place to study

Have your say

THETFORD’S youth have spoken – and they want to do their homework.

Their request has been answered by Flagship Housing Association which has set up a homework club.

Elizabeth Truss, MP for South West Norfolk, was on hand on Friday to open the Homework Hub at the Keystone Abbey Neighbourhood Community Centre.

Ms Truss said: “ It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm for the Homework Hub at the Abbey Neighbourhood Community Centre from all the children who came along.”

The club was set up after a survey was carried out at Thetford’s youth clubs.

Now the scheme has received £7,500 from the Moving Thetford Forward initiative to provide 10 laptops, broadband, a printer, desks and other equipment.

The club will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.
