Viking Longships crewed by year three students invaded St Mary’s Church of England Academy, this week.
Students at the Mildenhall school had been working on a project entitled ‘invaders’ and were tasked to design and build the ships as a home learning project.
They travelled to the Anglo Saxon village at West Stow to gather inspiration for their designs and harnessed a range of materials.
Among the ships presented were traditional sea faring wooden boats as well imaginative crafts made from lego, tin foil and cardboard.
Teacher Aileen Robinson said: “We are delighted with the results and hugely proud of them all.”
