EASTER came early for children with disabilities at the Scope respite centre in Bury St Edmunds when more than 60 bikers made a special delivery on Sunday.

The Mad Cows motorbike club delivered 65 eggs to the centre in Shakers Lane, while they also donated more than £329 to the charity, which is celebrating its 40th year.

It was part of an annual ride out by the charity, which attracts bikers from across Suffolk and neighbouring counties.

Martin Chapman, area representative for the Bury and District Mad Cow,s said: “We do this every year. We had 60 motorbikes and five trikes. People come from all over the local area. We had one guy come from Bishop’s Stortford. There are always new faces every year.

“Some of the children were waving at us as we arrived and we sat and had a buffet lunch with them. Everybody had a nice day out.”
