A construction company is looking to recruit 70 full-time trainees over the next two months to join its East of England staff.

R G Carter is offering competitive training packages for ‘on the job’ education, with ‘a significant number’ of positions to be based in Thetford.

The Apprentice Programme, managed by the Carter Academy, is seeking applications from people, preferably in their late teens, with a driving licence, to embark on a unique accelerated training course in carpentry or brickwork.

The programme will see trainees achieve a Level 2 Apprenticeship in either site carpentry or brickwork in around 18 months.

Trainee managers are also being recruited in a number of disciplines, with successful candidates being enrolled on to part-time honours degree courses.
