A NEW support group has been launched in Bury St Edmunds to help people with dyspraxia.

The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month alternating between afternoons at 1pm to 3pm and evenings at 7pm to 9pm at the Hyndman Centre in Hospital Road.

Charlotte Gillespy is the local co-ordinator for the Suffolk Group of the Dyspraxia Foundation and her son Drew has the condition.

She said: “Hopefully, in time, as a group we will also be able to raise the awareness of the condition too and make things easier for all those affected by dyspraxia.”

Dyspraxia is a co-ordination disorder and can cause problems with perception, language and thought.

The group meets next on December 22 from 7pm to 9pm.
