A donkey day will be held by acclaimed bronze sculptor Kate Denton at her Lavenham Hall home on June 1 , to raise funds for international animal welfare charity The Donkey Sanctuary.

The day will include a chance to meet minature foster donkeys Barnie, Wilma and Freddie.

There will also be stalls to browse including: a tombola, cake and tea stalls, a raffle, a Donkey Sanctuary stand, and the chance to see Kate Denton’s own work in the Sculpture Garden and Gallery.

“Donkeys are so often ignored at best, and abused at worst, when they provide such loyal and undemanding hard work,” said Kate who is making a life sized bronze donkey sculpture.

“We are greatly looking forward to hosting our Suffolk Donkey Day on behalf of the Sanctuary.

“I am looking forward to working on donkeys in my own work, including making a life sized bronze donkey sculpture, in the coming months to further raise their profile”.

All proceeds will be going to the charity.

The event will run from 2pm to 4pm.
