STAFF at Specsavers got in touch with their childish sides for a charity fund-raising day.

Fourteen staff at the Stowmarket branch dressed up as Disney characters on Monday to raise money for the Guide Dogs charity.

The money raised is being added to a pot which two employees started last month by doing a sky dive. They have raised £1,183.10, which will be doubled by the store directors.

Michelle Bridges said: “It’s been quite funny because customers can’t take us seriously, but it’s good fun.”

The group hopes to raise £5,000 to sponsor a new guide dog puppy which they would like to name Edward, after local former guide dog Edward who lost his eyesight last year.
