Suffolk Constabulary warn of delays after five-car collision and tank passing through

Motorists have been warned to expect delays at different points along the A14 today (Monday, March 25).

A five car collision eastbound at Sproughton around 7am, where a person had to be cut from a car, has led to tailbacks through to Needham Market.

Highways England reported delays of more than 40 minutes. An oil spill led to two lanes being closed, although one has now reopened.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and Suffolk Constabulary attended the scene.

Police also warned of potential delays as a tank is escorted westbound through the county into Cambridgeshire early this afternoon.

The abnormal load escort will pass along: Local Roads – Pondhall Road – Duke St – A1071 – A1214 – A14 – B1078 – A14 – Cambridgeshire Border
