Daring business bid to help cancer charity

TWO directors from Alan Boswell Insurance Management, based in Great Barton, are swapping the safety of insurance advice to the hair-raising activity of the bobsleigh run.

Managing director Adrian Rayner and Andrew Terry, a director at the firm, will take part in a bobsleigh event in Austria in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

This is the company’s charity of the year and so Team Boz, headed by Alan Boswell CEO and including Adrian and Andrew will be in Iglis, Austria, to take part in the exhilarating run, which will take between 56 and 70 seconds to complete.

Adrian, who lives in Horringer, said: “It’s too easy to get stuck behind your desk and not get involved with fund-raisers and this is certainly an unusual challenge.

“The track we’re travelling down in the sled has one turn that’s 270 degrees so, it’s fair to say, Andrew and I are exchanging the odd anxious look across the office.”

The company has so far raised £9,000 towards its target of £15,000 and has sponsored the event – the RAF versus Civilians race.
