A 20-year-old Miss London and Miss Hippodrome semi-finalist from Stowmarket has completed a 10k run around Bury St Edmunds to raise money for charity.
Danielle Ribbon has a chance of battling for coveted crown if she wins her semi-final in London on May 6.
Joined by her boyfriend Lee Hammond, Danielle laced up her running shoes and set off at 10am on Saturday on a route around the town, crossing the finishing line at Drive Vauxhall at around 11am.
Danielle, a health care assistant and phlebotomist at Combs Ford Surgery in Stowmarket, said she was excited about the competition in May.
“I am raising money for the St Christopher’s Hospice and Beauty with a Purpose - I have already raised £210 but am hoping for £500. I’d like to get as much as I can for these really important charities.”
Danielle collected £127.24 along the route and another £119.65 at a bake sale at Drive Vauxhall on Monday.
“The run went really well, she said. “I couldn’t believe how much we raised. People were so generous.”
If she wins the Miss London competition she will have a shot at the Miss England crown.
