Dancers in Zumba fund-raiser for West Suffolk Hospital unit

A group of fund-raisers danced their socks off to raise money for West Suffolk Hospital on Sunday, April 19.

An hour-long Zumba fund-raiser, run by instructor Alex Beale, was held in aid of the hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit. In total more than 100 people attended and raised more than £900.

Beryl Langley, who attends Alex’s Zumba classes, was cared for by the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit after a heart attack last year.

She said: “I was overwhelmed by how many people attended the event and how much money we have been able to raise. Thank you to everyone who supported the event and a big thanks to Alex for taking the class.”

Alex said: “It was fantastic to raise so much money for the CRU who looked after Beryl so well. We had a lot of fun as well as raising money for such a good cause.”
