Cyclists set off from Abbey Gardens for charity ride

Have your say

AROUND 600 intrepid cyclists are making the most of today’s glorious weather and raising money for charity as part of the 15th St Edmund’s Wheel cycle ride.

Setting off from Bury St Edmunds’ Abbey Gardens, the participants will take part in routes of either 100, 50, 25 or 15 miles.

Beautiful sunshine saw the 100-milers off at 8am, with the rest staggered over the next two hours.

Brian Hurrell, organiser, said St Edmund’s Wheel were hoping to beat the £20,000 raised last year.
