Criminal Behaviour Order for Thetford man who assaulted police officer
A man from Thetford has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) after being found guilty of assaulting a police officer.
Paul Scott, 33, of St Michaels Close, Thetford, received a three year CBO on February 9.
The order – obtained by specifically designated officer, based in the Operational Partnership Team (OPT) in Breckland – prohibits him from acting in any way that causes or is likely to cause a nuisance, annoyance, alarm or distress to anyone he does not live with, which includes the use of foul, offensive abusive or threatening language or behaviour in public.
It also prohibits Scott from having an open or sealed vessel containing alcohol in any public place within a designated ‘exclusion zone’ in Thetford, or from being in the company of anyone who has.
Scott is also not allowed to enter any pub, club, restaurant, cafe or premises (permanent or temporary) which sells alcohol for consumption on the premises within that same area of Thetford and another ‘exclusion zone’ in Norwich.
