CHILDRERN from Ixworth Pirmary School had a go at being police officers when they visited their local police station.
Youngsters were the guests of the Bury Rural North Safer Neighbourhood Team.
They were given the chance to try on police offciers’ hats and see the latest police patrol car up close.
Police Community Support Officer Jon Eaves said: “It was fantastic to see how much the children enjoyed dressing up and exploring the police car.
“These visits are great for allowing very young children an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the ;olice and to develop a relationship with their local officers,”
Head teacher Anna Richards added: “It is very important for children to have a positive image of the police from an early age and visits like this are a really positive way of achieving this.”
