A woman has admitted stealing more than £500,000 from EMG Motor Group over an eight year period.

Karen Foster, 51, of Andrews Walk, Bury St Edmunds, pleaded guilty to four offences of false accounting and four of theft when she appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday.

Prosecutor Michael Crimp said the figure could be as high as £800,000. The money was taken between January 1 2004 and December 3 2012.

Judge Rupert Overbury remanded her on bail for what he described as ‘extremely serious’ offences.

Foster must report to police daily, live at her home address, surrender her passport and not apply for travel documents for outside Sufolk.
