Theft spree on cars parked on driveways in Bury St Edmunds

Cars have been targeted by thieves this week in three roads in the Glastonbury Road area of Bury St Edmunds.

A blue Saab estate was entered in Constable Road, Bury St Edmunds between 2pm on Monday and 10am Tuesday and cash and an mp3 player were taken.

Overnight on Wednesday thieves struck twice in Hervey Road, They stole cash from an insecure red Citroen Berlingo van and a blue Ford Focus which was also insecure. Both vehicles were parked on driveways.

That same night they got into a green Mercedes van and stole lottery tickets.

Police are linking the four crimes and warn people to keep vehicles locked at all times and remove anything of value from inside.
