Free cycle marking will be offered at Red Lodge and Mildenhall on Sunday.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team will be at Red Lodge Pavilion from 2.30pm-3.30pm and Mildenhall Police Station from 4pm to 5pm.

PCSO Becky Simpson, said: “Crime remains low in the Mildenhall and Red Lodge areas, however in the past few weeks we have seen a rise in the theft of pedal cycles.

“We urge cyclists to make sure that they take all precautions when leaving or storing their bicycles making sure it is kept in a safe place and secured with a substantial lock, preferably a ‘D Lock’.

“Please come along and see us to have your bicycle marked - help us to help you protect your property.”
