Police have carried out anniversary checks as they investigate the sudden death of Peter Shea, 73 from Brandon.

Mr Shea was found collapsed at Manor House Close, Brandon on October 2 and subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem has proved inconclusive and police are looking into the circumstance around an incident in the Market Square on September 27 at around 5.30pm.

At the time Mr Shea was taken to West Suffolk Hospital and treated for a fractured shoulder.

Police have spoken to several witnesses and on Friday carried out an anniversary check to try and gain more information from anyone who may have seen what happened.

They have spoken to 140 people so far but would like others to come forward.

If anyone was in the Market Square between 5pm and 6pm and saw an incident between two men, one of whom was on a mobility scooter, they are asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers 0800 555111.
